Ciobanu  Ioan: Researches by physical modeling regarding the influence of the construction of the feeders on the retention of the inclusions inside runner of pouring gates

Metalurgia International (vol. XI), no.2, 2006, p. 5

The paper presents the results of some experimental study made by physical modeling. The study refers to the influence of the location of the feeders related to the runner on the retention of the inclusions inside the pouring gates. The objects of the study were the pouring gates with four feeders on the runner, considering four types of the construction of the feeder. It has been made determinations in condition of starting pouring (starting work condition) and in stationary tap condition (permanent- the pouring gate filled by liquid). The researches concluded that the upper lateral location of the feeders related to the runner ensured a better retention of the inclusions inside the pouring gates.

Căliman Radu: Influence of Al2O3 or ZrO2 addition on the AlNi and AlSi alloys

Metalurgia International (vol. XI), no.2, 2006, p.16

Different metal/ceramic composites (Al3Ni, Al6Ni, Al9Ni) reinforced with Al2O3 or ZrO2 will be investigated. In all the composites a-Al did not nucleate on the reinforcement particulates. The particulates were generally observed to be located in the last freezing regions regardless of matrix alloy, particulate type or size. The reason for that was the mismatch in the thermal diffusivity between the ceramic particulates and matrix alloys.

GHIMBĂŞEANU Ioan: Simulation a  LM135/LM235/LM335 precision temperature sensor

Metalurgia International (vol. XI), no.2, 2006, p. 19

The main advantage of a measurement instrumentation, based on the technique of calculation   named   virtual      instrumentation

compared to a classic measurement instrument lies on the fact that the virtual instrumentation can be easily transformed through programming.

The paper presents the simulation of a LM135/LM235/LM335 precision temperature sensor. This simulation is done through a LabVIEW graphic language.

Chichernea Florin: The calculation of kinematics parameters at the crusher for milling

Metalurgia International (vol. XI), no.2, 2006, p. 24

A numerical method was employed in order to establish the calculation of kinematic parameter of a crusher.

Metalurgia International (vol. XI), no.2, 2006, p. 26

This work presents the study of some thermodynamic properties of the Cu-O system, which represent the base of several technological processes in the pyrometallurgy of copper.

The research have been determined several thermodynamic measurements activity and activity coefficient of oxygen in liquid copper-oxygen function on the temperature and oxygen concentration influence on them.

The experimental results have been compared to various thermodynamic models reference to metallurgical melting for alloys and discovery of some structural information on the melting in the studied system.
